My name is Esme Anne Cullen. Please just call me Esme.

I was born in 1892, in Columbus, Ohio. If someone had told me then how my... existence would have turned out, I never would have believed them.

One of my most vivid memories of my human years is when I fell out of a tree, aged sixteen – Bella can’t say she’s the only klutz in the family – and first met Carlisle.

My first husband was… well; let’s just say I’m much, much happier with Carlisle, who I love with all my heart.

We live in Forks, Washington now, though we move a lot; the fact that we never age is a bit suspicious to humans.

Bella, Edward, Jasper, Alice, Rosalie and Emmett – my beautiful children. I love you all, so much, even though you have a tendency to wreck my house. Emmett. And of course, Ness – err, Renesmee, the little family miracle. We’re the vegetarian vampires. It’s our little inside joke.

Carlisle, my saviour, my love – words alone cannot express how much I love you. For eternity.
